Tipping my hat to Boris

I have to confess that I'm not a big fan of politicians. Most of them seem to delight in avoiding answering straight questions and a significant number probably wouldn't know the truth if it hit them in the face.

It was well worth the wait. My brother Alan and I finally took Terra Nova out for a run two weekends ago and it was wonderful to be back out on the water.

Huzzah! I’m delighted to learn that the Environment Agency has signed up with a company who, for a trial period, will help to enforce the mooring regulations on parts of the Thames including Walton and Weybridge.

Charity challenge for female rowers

The intrepid crew will be paddling 116 miles along the Thames to raise money for two good causes.

I always enjoy turning the spotlight on some of the wonderful things river people undertake for charity – and this week is no exception.
